Biography
 
John enjoys working as an integral part of the senior management team, facing the challenges of bringing a business back to profit. This invariably involves helping to reduce a company’s over dependence on bank borrowing, which over recent years have often risen to levels which are unsustainable in a down-turn. This has led to the bank seeking ‘forced reductions’ in lending limits and John’s involvement, with such companies, has enabled the directors to concentrate on the commercial side of the business.

Recently, he has worked with an £8m Telecoms Equipment Manufacturer, a £4m IT Equipment Manufacturer and a £5m audio visual products distributor, all of which have faced serious problems caused by declining sales.

Prior to that his full time roles were Group Chief Accountant at JCB, Divisional FD at Rank Audio Visual and Group FD of an independent engineering company. He qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Whinney Murray (now Ernst & Young).
